Dutch Barges

As well as traditional inland waterways vessels RoyScot Larch will also finance Dutch Barges and other barges converted for residential use. We will lend up to 75% of the value over periods of up to 15 years.

We are happy to finance older vessels as our lending decision will be based on the condition of the craft, not its age.  Customers wishing to use their boat or barge as their home will need to arrange a permanent mooring rather than continually cruise the canals and waterways of the UK.

Purpose Built Houseboats

RoyScot Larch is the only UK marine lender who will consider funding purpose built houseboats on suitable moorings. We can lend of up to 75% of the value of the vessel with repayment terms of up to 15 years.

Interest Rates

For Dutch Barges we can offer marine loans with a choice of variable interest rates or interest rates fixed for the full term of the loan. For purpose-built houseboats we will normally ask you to sign a fixed rate conditional sale agreement although, depending on the original design of the hull, a variable rate marine loan may be available as well.
